Seven circuits, one path, three thousand years.
The classical labyrinth - often called the Cretan labyrinth - is the oldest labyrinth pattern we know. It is stamped on silver coins from Knossos, scratched into rock in Galicia and Sardinia, and drawn on pottery across the ancient Mediterranean. Its seven circuits wind around a central goal along a single path: no forks, no dead ends, just a long way round that always arrives.
This small disc carries that path, carved into solid wood. We engrave it in many thin layers with a laser, so the walls stand up in relief and the path is a smooth groove. Trace it slowly with a fingertip - into the centre, and back out again.
