Nine rings, one coil.
The multi wave oscillator antenna - nine concentric split rings - is one of the best-known shapes in radionics and frequency work. In the classic version every ring stands on its own. We wanted the same geometry, but as something you can actively drive with a signal, so we designed a circuit board where the nine split rings are joined in series: each ring is linked to the next through the board, and the whole pattern becomes one continuous serpentine conductor. An MWO antenna and a coil module in one piece.
How you use it
Plug the leads from your generator into the red and black banana sockets. The signal then travels through all nine rings, from the outermost to the innermost. It pairs naturally with our SWCC devices, and with any function or frequency generator. If your generator has BNC outputs - Spooky2 generators and many others - use our BNC / 3.5 mm / banana adapter to connect it.
Many people use it as a plate: a witness, a sample or a written rate placed in the centre while the coil is driven. Others simply use it as a precise, repeatable coil for their own experiments with frequency and geometry.
Built in our workshop
We design the PCB ourselves, fit the banana sockets by hand and print the frame in-house. The frame raises the board, protects the connections on the underside and lets the module lie flat and stable.
Specifications
